HUNTING SEASON DATES A Kansas Hunting License is required to assist a big game permit holder. Anyone born on or after July 1, 1957, must complete an approved hunter education course before hunting in Kansas. Youth hunters may receive a big game permit, valid only while the person is hunting under the immediate supervision of an adult.
