Nickels Farms is nestled in the scenic rolling hills of far northeast Kansas, home to some of the best quail hunting in the United States. During the ice age the area was covered by glaciers, but now it offers gentle slopes of cropland, native grass, and hardwood timber, dotted with quiet peaceful ponds. Hundreds of acres and numerous ponds are available for your relaxation and fishing enjoyment. Our ponds, which range in size from puddles to many acres, are home to some of the hottest fishing in the Midwest.
Crappie run in early spring followed, as the water warms, by the incresed activity or largemouth bass, providing action for the fishing-minded sportsman from March through October. We provide the tackle or you may supply your own. Small boats provide access to our many fishing hideaways.
Nickels Farms is the perfect getaway, plus we're not far away - just minutes from Kansas City , the Kansas Interstate System and a 45 minute drive from Kansas City International Airport (KCI).
Ask about our "corporate package" and consider making us part of your next business trip. We'll pick you up at the airport.
If your family is along, they can spend the day in the city while you spend the day in the country. Nearby Lawrence, Kansas offers the easy-going charm of a smaller town combined with big city cultural opportunities, complete with two outlet malls, quaint shops, restaurants, coffee shops, clubs, museums and the activities of the University of Kansas.
